About
Cole: |
|
My name, as you may have seen somewhere around here, is Cole, I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I think all of the knowledge I've accumulated in high school and college could be well served helping someone else learn. I went to high school in Georgetown, Texas, was in the National Honor Society, the tennis team, on the drum line as the tenor drum section leader, and graduated with honors. I have tutored numerous students in high school and college, and I have a little sister who is in seventh grade who always asks for my help, so I have extensive experience tutoring a wide age range. I have also covered just about any general subject over the times of those tutorings: math, grammar, science(Biology and Chemistry), Music, History, and literature. On top of it all, I'm really easy to get along with, and my teaching style can be as relaxed or as strict as necessary. When I learn something new, it makes it a great deal easier if it's either fun or interesting to me in some way. So, when I'm trying to teach someone and help them understand a new idea, I use the same learning tactics that work well for me, by trying to make the subject either fun through word games and mnemonic devices and such, or interesting, which simply involves bringing whatever you're learning about into more familiar or appealing terms. I hope you see fit to contact me, because I think learning can and SHOULD be fun, and after all, knowledge is power! |
