About Emily:

I am a certified elementary school teacher who is relocating to the Capital District area. My education experience has varied from teaching English in Japan for two years, tutoring in an after school program in Schenectady, New York, and tutoring and reorganizing a library in Zimbabwe, Africa. I have spent the past 5 years teaching in Brooklyn, New York. My first year in Brooklyn, I was a K-4 writing teacher and for the past four years I have taught first grade. Since completing the 2006-2007 school year, I have worked with two charter schools to develop reading and writing curriculum for kindergarten and first grade. While teaching, I also received my Master's in Education from St. John's University (with a 3.8 G.P.A.). I am available to tutor elementary school students in all subject areas.
