Learn More About Katharine's Experience:

drawing I am a studio Art Major at Skidmore College which has a highly accredited art program. I am a painting concentration however drawing is the backbone to painting and I am currently enrolled in the Advanced Drawing class at Skidmore. Furthermore I am a TA for Intermediate Painting. I have received a Boston Globe Art Award for a drawing and it has always been a part of my life. I am very well versed in drawing terms and media as well as theories. One of my strongest areas in my studio classes is group critiques, I always get much praise from professors for my ability to critique other students work. ESL/ESOL I am bilingual in French and English and very interested in teaching English as a second language. In September I will begin a job in France teaching English. I spent the past spring semester in Paris and I am a French minor at Skidmore College. Although I have never taught ESL officially I have a lot of experiential skills that are not comparable. For example I lived with a Japanese girl in Paris who could hardly speak English or French and I ate dinner with her every night and helped her learn the two languages. Additionally, I have been a language student for 9 years and I have very clear ideas about how to teach ESL in an academic setting.
