elementary (k-6th) I have 3 little sisters and have helped them in their school work for awhile. I can deal with most types of children: the ones who have a hard time paying attention, the ones who just need a little motivation, the ones who simply don't get it, the ones who are hyper. I am willing to attempt anything within reason. I am very friendly outgoing and I love children. I used to work for a Kumon learning center, helping children understand different levels of work. Most children usually like me and find me easy to get along with. I am very patient and understanding and will spend two hours on a single problem if necessary. I do not believe that providing a child with the answer helps them out. Usually when I teach I find a way to explain it to the child using something common to them such as simple money or clothes, then I help them understand and help them with 2-3 and then let them try. I do this in order to help build their confidence in their work. I always end every session of help with one question... Do you know this well enough to take a test and make a good grade on your own?
