About Manuela:

In a post-communist Romania, in 1986, after ten years of teaching Math and Sciences, I decided to interrupt my educational career and go back to school, full-time, to learn what the communism kind of shut out for us: social sciences. When I made the news public, in the school I was working for, the silence took over the atmosphere for a quick second in the classroom. After that, about sixty young eyes started to cry big drops of tears. Than, suddenly the comment came from one of them:" We will never ever have another teacher like you, somebody who can teach us about everything!"
