differential equations In addition to taking the required first semester of Differential Equations, I elected to take an additional semester of Differential Equations which went more in-depth in terms of higher order partial and non-linear differential equations. Overall my average for the full year's coursework was better than a B, and I proceeded to use second-order ordinary differential equations to solve kinematics problems in physics. discrete math Discrete Math and Abstract Algebra were both graduation requirements for my degree in Mathematics from GMU. We covered a broad range of topics from basic combinatorics through generating functions. I completed the Discrete Math requirement with a B grade overall and was able to put the coursework to use right away in discrete probability. guitar I have been a guitar play for 15 years, most of that time I have been active in bands or other musical groups. I have taken two years of college music theory, a year of sight-singing, and studied piano under a graduate of The Russian Conservatory. I have performed as a guitarist in two musicals and several smaller shows.
