About
William: |
I am strictly a literary tutor, and I am very excited to work with anyone in order to improve any aspect when it comes to writing and reading. I read everything, and I am a hopelessly in love with the written word. I have tutored in college (reference available, if requested) and I have a full length novel under my belt, which I have proofread. I write constantly, including two poetry manuscripts and a whole host of short stories and flash fiction. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Writing and I was nominated for PROW (my college's Project to Recognize Outstanding Writing) and I have done several readings of my work at my college. I am eager to help ANYONE with ANYTHING involving writing and reading. My teaching style is strictly for the student, and varies depending on each indivdual's need. |

grammar
To be honest, I cannot live without proper grammar. Recently, I just started reading the MLA pocket style manual before I go to bed. I cannot stand incorrect grammar, and I quickly correct myself when I fail. I have to. It's almost a complusion. I helped a dyslexic student with his papers, and I would work on grammar with him, as well as all the other students I worked with. By the way, this is more proofreading, but little sentence above this text box, the one that reads, "please limit this request to 800 characters." Please is spelled plese.

proofreading
Once again, please is spelled wrong in the line of text above this text box. Anyway, proofreading has almost become a hobby of mine. I have proofread many works in my life- including my full length novel. I did a lot of proofreading at my old tutoring job as a workstudy at my college, and to be honest, I never tired of it. I proofread everything I write, just to make sure it is as perfect as possible. When I make marks, I go back to the student, and make sure he or she knows exactly what I mean.
