I am a compassionate individual with a love of reading and helping others. I have dedicated much of my working career to Youth and Education. While pursuing my undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, I worked with a number of organizations (D.C. Schools, the After School Kids Program, Heads Up, and Teach for America) dedicated to youth development. I undertook a number of roles notably Mentor, Tutor, and Teacher (I am not a licensed teacher.). I have worked one-on-one as well as in small groups, and I believe my ability to connect with children is excellent.
I am comfortable assisting students in a variety of elementary-level subjects, particularly Reading, Grammar, and Math.

I am proficient in the following computer software (Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) and am able to tutor individuals who need basic Windows-centric computer literacy. The training I have received either in school, on the job, or in books has been quite effective. I have not taken Computer certification classes or the like; instead, in my Undergraduate Business program at Georgetown University and my Historic Preservation Masters program at Columbia University, I acquired computer skills through application. In my day job as a Real Estate Developer and Consultant, I use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint every single day. As a former Researcher for the Fannie Mae Foundation, I particularly fine-tuned my ability to use the internet for very in depth research needs.
I believe that students’ computer use should be purposeful so that instruction can be geared towards application. In order to prepare the highest quality documents, I have learned several “tricks” that I would love to share. I can help you prepare documents that get you noticed at school or in the office.
