About Osato:

I believe that I am highly qualified to be an academic tutor for grades preK-12. I am capable of working with children from different backgrounds, skill levels and ages. I have the patience and passion needed to help a child reach his or her potential. My enclosed resume will demonstrate that I have the characteristics and experience you seek. I hold a B.A. degree in Chemistry and public health disparities. My academic preparation and professional experience have provided me with excellent tools to serve as a tutor for varying ages and skill levels. In high school I spent my summers working at summer enrichment programs similar to the summer strategy programs offered by EBL for grades K-6. I also tutored at the local Boys and Girls Club. I was a writing assistant at my college’s Speaking, Arguing and Writing Center (SAW). We completed a “Peer Mentoring: Theory and Practice,” semester long course where we learned writing, speaking and grammar techniques. The mission of SAW was to improve clarity and provide support for students working on a wide range of projects in any discipline. I also have experience working with grades 6-12. I worked as a teaching assistant at Upward Bound Summer program. It is an enrichment program, focusing on math and science that challenges students to high academic standards. At Upward Bound, I was a chemistry teaching assistant and I was also responsible for seven girls completing their homework each night.
