I currently am a fourth grade teacher. I teach all subjects and love watching people learn! I am creative, and like to make learning fun. My favorite quote is, "Learn by doing". I'm a strong believer that a hands-on approach is the best way to learn. I love to read and write. Those are my favorite subjects to teach. I have taught for 2 and half years. I have done various tutoring jobs. One was called SOS reading approach (Save Our Students). I would travel to where the student lived, and we would work on reading and writing. I did this for all ages, K-5. I also have worked as a teacher in our school's after school program. I was also a reading teacher. I worked with fourth and fifth graders to help them improve their reading skills. I graduated in December 2004 from Clemson University with a degree in elementary education. I have always enjoyed working with kids, and teaching. I was a swim instructor for 7 years. I can teach all levels. Teaching swim lessons is what made me know for sure that I wanted to teach. As an educator, I believe that everyone has a different learning style. It's all about tapping into each child's learning style in order to see them achieve their academic goals.
