About Dwight:

My name is Dwight. I have been substitute teaching in the Washougal/Vancouver area since May, and have taught from elementary through high school, hitting most of the subjects. I am looking to gain more teaching experience through tutoring. I believe in my vast social studies and math experience, having taken a varied social studies curriculum in high school and college, as well as math through Calculus I in college. I also feel English is a strength, especially proofreading and grammar. I received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota last May. I worked on my degree while working full time. My undergraduate degree is in Insurance/Risk Management, but was not fulfilled with the jobs I had since graduating in 2000. I am licensed to teach K-6 Elementary and 5-8 Social Studies in Minnesota, and I have a Professional Educators Permit for Washington, which will turn into a certification once I have completed my Praxis II testing.
