I am originally from Queens, NY and went to college in Dubuque, Iowa. I am currently a middle school science teacher. I love teaching science because I love making a difference in a student's life and sharing my passion for science. I have a dual Bachelor's in Environmental Science and Biology and I love working with kids. I have taught 3 years of 8th grade science, which consists of physics, chemistry and astronomy. I have also taught one year of 7th grade science, which consists of life science and a semester of health. I have worked with kids for over 10 years through summer camps (swimming and basketball) and after-school programs at the YMCA. I have also been a teaching assistant for GEAR-UP. My last year in New York City, I worked in the Bronx with the Children's Aid Society as a group leader.
I enjoy hiking, dancing, going to the beach and park, volunteering my time after-school to tutor, painting and arts and crafts.
As a science teacher, I do the best I can to make science fun!
