Motivated students learn successfully when offered personalized goals, structure, and positive reinforcement by creative, dedicated educators. As a mature, experienced, former classroom teacher with years of service in a variety of diverse settings, including public high schools and adult education programs, I'm able to quickly assess and address individual learning and performance styles. As a long-term GRE/GMAT test prep instructor with the Boston Center for Adult Education and independent SAT tutor/college admissions counselor for many Marblehead/Swampscott families, I have demonstrated particular expertise preparing students for success on standardized tests. Although a good teacher/tutor must be very task-oriented, it's essential, too, that they be very emotionally-supportive, and relationship-building is one of my great skills. |
