GED I have extensive experience working with people who struggle academically and feel that I would be a good teacher with this population. I have also taught in the Community College setting and so have come across older students and those students who may have had an unconventional high school experience. I also excelled in all subject matter in high school and so should be able to aid students in a variety of topics and address issues as they come up. I also feel that with GED candidates, individual students need to be looked at more specifically, and I believe in teaching the student as a whole, not just as an academic entity. study skills Study skills are an integral part of learning, and are more important, in my opinion, than subject matter itself. I had a strong foundation of study skills "learning" from 5th grade on and feel that I have clear methods which I can teach students to utilize to better organize their study habits. track & field I am an active and competitive local road runner and ran track and field in high school. I am well-versed in physiology and run 40 miles per week. I train myself, and so could train others!
