elementary (k-6th) I have worked extensively with students k-6. In college, I was involved in a tutoring program where I worked individually with elementary students. I have babysat many many children in this age group and helped them with their homework. I worked in an elementary school as an americorps member teaching an violence prevention program, and worked daily in the afterschool program helping the students with their homework. proofreading Since I was young, I remember being a student that other students turned to, to ask for help proof-reading and editing papers. I have been to law school, graduated and passed the bar exam. Law schools exams are all essays, and require excellent writing and proof reading skills. special needs I worked as a special needs camp counselor for several summers in high school and college. I worked one on one with an 8 year old autistic girl to help her develop social and academic skills, while I was in college. I am a licensed social worker and have conducted therapy with many children who have developmental, emotional and social difficulties. study skills I graduated from college with honors and then attended a graduate program in which I received my law and social work degrees simultaneously. You can not be successful in such a program without having excellent study skills! I studied for the bar exam for two months and passed. I love teaching study skills to children, and have done so as a tutor, babysitter, and teacher.
