About Venus:

Hello,
I Have chosen education for a career because I can make a difference in the lives of the students I encounter. I believe that every student has the ability to learn when given the proper tools. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and am currently teaching first grade at a local elementary school. First grade is where the primary tools needed to become a successful reader are gained. I enjoy reading, and enjoy passing on the passion for reading to my students. The experience that I have gained through my academic studies, as well as my current position with the city of Hampton as a teacher gives me the necessary tools to successfully assist students in improving their reading and basic math skills.
