My name is Jennifer,I am from Long Island NY. I graduated for Mars Hill College in 2000. I have 2 kids and a husband. I currently stay at home with them. Everyday is a teaching experience with them. I enjoy watching them grow and opening doors in their mind about learning. We are active in the community with volunteering for Special Olympics. I love to introduce experiences to them that will help them mold into fine adults. I have lots of energy and creativity to rise to the challenge of helping my kids to understand. Nothing makes me more committed to teaching. |

elementary (k-6th)

I am very interested in the elementary grade level. I feel that this is the opening to the fundamentals of learning. I was a Title 1 Tutor in 3rd grade. I worked on math, reading and writing with them. I kept good communitcation with the students, teachers and parents/guardian. I am proud to say that all my students passed their EOG's!
I have the determination, energy and creativity to help children learn!

ESL/ESOL
|
I have taken Spanish I and II. I am working with two families in my neighborhood to help them learn English and they are helping me to become more concious with my Spanish. I have created a friendship with perfect strangers. We have broken the language barrier and are comfortable with eachother. With my gentle personality and respect for other cultures I strongly feel that I can help teach English to the school aged child and to the parent. I have incredible energy and creativity to help them learn and at the same time I am learning too!
