About Monica:

My name is Monica and I am 19 years old. I am a rising sophomore at New York University majoring in Language and Mind and I'm also on the Pre-Med track. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at South Fork High School. I was in the top ten students of my class. I scored a 32 on the ACT and I have always scored highly on the FCAT. I volunteered as a reading instructor for third graders for two years at Crystal Lake Elementary. I had a wonderful time and I enjoyed teaching very much. My best subjects are English, science, and history. I can teach math up to algebra 1, but higher level math is not my strength. My teaching style is pretty relaxed and I like to start out slowly to get to know my student's abilities and to get to know their personality. I would say that I am friendly and I am able to explain things clearly.
