I am a Japanese citizen who is married to a Vietnamese-American. We have an eleven-year old daughter and a one-year old son. I've been living in Houston for over 15 years.
I graduated from college in Japan, where I studied French.
I tutor my own children after school in many subjects. I am also teaching them Japanese. This is my contribution to their intellectual development as multi-cultural, multi-lingual Americans.
I can be both flexible and effective with respect to how my students would like to get the most out of learning the Japanese language. Typically, I use text books that my students chose for learning grammar, pronunciation, reading and writing, etc. As much as possible, I would like to include explanations about my Japanese culture while tutoring the language. I can tutor in such a way that nothing is lost in translation. It is my pleasure to serve by way of teaching and sharing.
