Hello,
I am a recent graduate of the University of Houston. I graduated with a BA in History, and English minor. I have 36 hours in History, 24 hours in English, and 21 hours in French. I graduated with a 3.3, which I earned while I worked my way through college. Additionally, I am married with two kids.
I absolutely love education, and I am currently working towards my Teaching Certification in the ACT Houston state approved Alternative Certification Program for the Summer 2008 Institute. I am registered for the TExES Content Exam #131(English Language Arts) on June 21st and the ESL exam on August 2nd 2008, to meet the “Highly Qualified” requirements of No Child Left Behind.
I hope to be teaching by the 2008-2009 school year, but tutoring will be a pleasant alternative, or addition, which ever may be the case. The one on one setting appeals to me, and I am equally comfortable with adult and secondary education.
