Hello! My name is MaryBeth. I am 23 years old and just graduated from Buffalo State College with degrees in Special Education and Childhood Education, grades 1-6. I am a very energetic person. I am always positive. I love to teach. I cherished all 7 of the placements I had in the Buffalo Public Schools. I have a lot of experience with promoting healthy reading habits as well as identifying letter sounds to make a full word. I am familiar with the reading programs that are being used in Buffalo Public Schools. I have used Reading Mastery or Direct Instruction as well as Harcourt. When I am teaching, I set high but achievable expectations for my students. I realize that all children learn by different techniques and at diverse paces. I form my instruction based on this fact. I will perform a pre-test to see at what level your child is and construct my tutoring lessons based on this information. I am looking forward to meeting your child and you!
