I am a rising Senior at Colorado College. Although I am a Studio Art major, I have had substantial experience in most academic subjects throughout high school and my first three years of college. I think I connect well with the kids and teenagers I tutor, and they seem to respond to our sessions. I think it helps, sometimes, to hire a younger tutor for this reason (of course, while maintaining the necessary qualifications). I feel I am also well qualified as a SAT tutor (I scored 710/710) and can provide a good balance between mathematical and English preparation for students desiring a complete preparatory experience. I am available for single-subject help as well. I look forward to meeting you! |

I am qualified to help students prepare for any of the five GED components, but I particularly cater to the Language Arts and Mathematics portions. I can also go over multiple choice testing strategies and have had ample experience in these types of tests.

I am fluent in all basic computer programs including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. I am also adept at navigating the internet and research databases.

grammar

I can teach and review grammar rules and proper sentence construction with students. This includes helping with subject-verb agreement, appropriate use of punctuation, use of conjunctions, and more.

proofreading

I have had a good deal of peer editing as well as some paid editing experience. I can proofread for content flow in addition to syntax, diction, spelling, and other errors.
