my name is charles. i am 23 yrs old and was just recently married 2 months ago. at the age of 19 i went to the country of peru for the period of two years as a missionary for my church. i had little to no ability to speak the spanish language upon my arrival. after the two years were up, my pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary were better than many of the native peruvians. i feel that god truly blessed me. i have taken two years of university spanish grammar courses including a spanish literature class. i plan to be a spanish teacher in the future. i currently attend an all spanish speaking church and teach a volunteer english class. while in south america i helped many other americans to learn the spanish language. the trick is to study and not be afraid to speak.
