Bonjour!
When I was living in France I used to teach as a tutor in French literature and French History besides managing a gallery of art in Paris. I also wrote poetry books. After I moved to the States to get married, my family became my main occupation. I guided my own two children through their learning years. With my help they became perfectly bilingual with English and French. They are my most recent proof of success with my daughter having graduated from Barnard College-Columbia University in French and Francophone Studies, and on her way to pursue a Masters degree in France, and my son being a student at the renowned New York University.
Now that I have more free time, I would love to go back to tutoring and help other children or adults expand their horizon with the beautiful French language, the rich French History and civilization.
I can help small children familiarize themselves with French at their own level, including songs and stories, and I can also teach young students or adults many tricks and secrets of the French grammar and vocabulary like they are taught in France. As a native French speaker I can also help you improve your pronunciation, or guide you through a solid preparation for the most challenging tests.
I am renowned for my extreme patience when facing the rigidity of some school assignments, and my lively way of telling stories has been a great memorizing tool for many students as well as for my own children. I like to make teaching a pleasant experience for both the student and myself.
I would prefer to have students in the Pacific Palisades/Brentwood/Santa Monica/West Los Angeles area to limit the driving time.
I am flexible about going to the student's home, a public place of choice, or my home. |
