About Juan:

I was born and raised in Mexico in a bi-lingual, bi-cultural household. Both my parents were graduates of U.C. Berkley, and both majored in languages. I began tutoring Algebra in my teens, and after finishing my studies at the Universidad Autonoma de Guerrero, I took over my father's language school, where I taught ESL and tutored Americans in Spanish. After several years, I sold the school to my brother and devoted myself full time to my career in the airline industry. My family and I have been living in Houston, Texas since 1995. I have done a good amount of Translating and Interpreting work in the Legal and Medical fields since arrivng here. I have always enjoyed teaching greatly. It is one of the most rewarding activities I have ever done, and I look forward to finding new friendships and sharing my knowledge in my chosen fields.
