About Donald:

I love teaching and explaining physics to people---students and friends. I have taught both calculus-based and algebra-based introductory sequences at the college level, most recently at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL. My philosophy is that physics is all about understanding relationships between concepts. Formulas are useful, but the concepts are the driving force. Therefore my teaching style is heavily inquiry-based. I like to present an overarching question or theme, then try to work through the method of determining what we know, what we need to know, and how to solve the problem, rather than simply grabbing a formula to "plug-n-chug". I have a passion to teach and my students have responded positively in their evaluations. I look forward to working with you.
