About Pamela:

English: I have just completed two years of college level teaching along with receiving my Masters degree in English Literature. Before teaching college, I was a 10th grade English teacher at a high school in Weston and a 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Reading teacher in Fort Lauderdale. In each experience, I have l have been fortunate to work with a diverse group of students who have taught me to become a better teacher. I am able to teach all levels when it comes to the subject of English. To begin with, my skills range from basic reading, to writing, to composition, to vocabulary, to SAT prep all the way to college entrance essay writing. In the fall, I will begin my Ph.D studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with children; hence, the reason I have decided to pursue my doctoral degree in English and Education. Swimming: I have 17 years of experience both in and out of the pool. I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and was lucky enough to compete on the college level at a Division I school and at the same time be able to coach all levels of swimming. As for private lessons, I have been doing them for the past 12 years. When it comes to private lessons I feel as though the attention that a child receives in a one on one atmosphere allows them to excel. I have been fortunate enough to teach 6 months to 12 years to swim. There is nothing more important in Florida than making sure a child can swim and save themselves in the water.
