This fall I will be a senior in college, and have always been one of the top students (if not the top student) in every class. Consequently, I never received any grade lower than an A. From elementary school to today in college, my peers have always come to me for help in school. Fellow students come to me not only because I know the material, but also because of my personality when teaching. I make the time fun, and am patient and comforting when students struggle with the material. Classmates have continually told me I should be a teacher for my ability to get people to truly understand.

  My major is accounting. I have already completed three years of accounting, which means I only have very advanced accounting courses left to take. I have finished at the top of my class in all the accounting courses I have taken. I am even the co-president of my college's accounting society and one of the few student members of my school's advisory board for the accounting department. I have experience tutoring accounting, as many of my friends and peers have come to me for help. I also have real-life accounting experience in the various accounting jobs I have held, such as tax preparer and account reconciler.

  Since I was in elementary school myself I have had experience tutoring elementary grade students. In the third grade I tutored kindergarteners, in the fourth grade I tutored first graders, and in the fifth and sixth grade I tutored second graders. In high school I took a child growth and development course, where I helped run a nursery school including creating and instructing my own lesson plans. Over the years I have helped my cousins and neighbors with their homework.
