I am a recent Indiana University graduate with a double major in East Asian Languages and Cultures and French. I have studied Chinese for 3 years, one semester of which was in an intensive program (20 hours/week of instruction) abroad in Shanghai, China at Fudan University. I have attained an intermediate level of both spoken and written fluency in Mandarin. I have also tutored college freshmen in first year Chinese.As for French, I have studied the language for 9 years, one semester of which was immersed in a French university in Aix-en-Provence, France where classes were conducted entirely in French (including the reading of both classical and modern French novels and the writing of extensive literary analysis).I have also tutored high schoolers in French.With regard to English, I have done substantial writing throughout college, particularly in the form of research papers and honors-level intensive writing courses. I also have experience tutoring high school students (both native and foreign-born) in writing.
