Gloria

I'm 25 years old and a biologist with experience working in biomedical research as well as teaching. I am in the process of getting my teacher certification and will be teaching High School Biology next fall in Austin. I graduated from UT-Brownsville with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in English. I attended the graduate program at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas where I learned valuable skills and knowledge in science, presentations, and writing. I enjoy helping students learn the material by providing not only academic help but also motivation. I am a firm believer that anybody can learn something if you really try. As a Biology Teaching Assistant at UT-Brownsville, I instructed students in the scientific principles and the practical applications. I have also tutored students in Algebra I, English, and Spanish. I look forward to working with the students who have taken the extra commitment to their studies by seeking help from tutors. I love teaching and helping students.
