    Melissa is a great tutor; she is always prepared for the session and can explain complex/hard concepts with ease. I needed help in physics, and she has a great background in the subject. I can e-mail her all of my questions before the session so that she knows exactly what material I am struggling with. This makes the session very efficient and even more helpful. She also explains concepts with diagrams and pictures which helps me a lot in understanding why something is true. She is very easy to reach by phone or e-mail and responds quickly. I really love the way she tutors! :-)

    Melissa has been tutoring me for a little over three weeks now and I am sure that if I did not have her helping me, I would not pass the physics class I am taking. She has been very patient with me and my complete lack of math skills. She is very patient, and genuinely a nice person. I am a person that needs someone to "dumb down" the material, for lack of a better phrase, and she does that well. She is good at bringing the material down to my learning level which makes the transition to understanding the harder concepts much more doable.     Study skill is the most important aspect of academic success. Many smart students fail to excel in school due to inappropriate study habit. On the other hand, numerous accomplished people were not born with gifted intelligence. They simply just have mastered the efficient ways of studying. I truly think I am one of those latter ones who have discovered how to study. I have always been on the top of my class and at the same time been involved in many extra curriculum. Therefore, time management is extremely important. "Not to study hard, but to study smart." This quote has always been engraved in my heart and reminds me to work efficiently. After numerous trials with different study styles, I have summarized a series of effective ones. In addition, I have been a tutor/teacher for three years, and have worked with different types of students. I do know that different individuals like different ways to study.
