Hi! My name is Sherin Stephens and I live in Herndon, VA. I recently graduated from University of Mary Washington cum laude with a BS in Math and Physics. I am currently looking for a job and meanwhile, I wanted to do what I did best when I was in school, tutor! I tutored my fellow classmates for free in Math courses such as calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, discrete math and statistics. I was also hired by the school to tutor students in French, Physics and Astronomy courses. I also worked as a lab assistant for the Art, Computer Science and Physics departments in college. So, I am very familiar with many computer languages and software. I am very relaxed, patient and social. I love to interact with students especially younger than me and motivate them to do better in life. I am not a quitter, so I don't give up easily on students. In fact, I am a fighter and a team player. So, I believe that every student can achieve what they intend to achieve in life if they set their mind to and are guided appropriately. I am also known to have a great sense of humor. I have a wide variety of interests and I can start conversations about anything. I have also privately tutored a couple high school students while in college to do better in SAT Math and they have done well. I love sports esp. soccer(European football) and tennis. I love to talk about it. I also play the piano and paint in my free time. I am also a deeply religious Christian. Though I was born in India, I was raised in England and USA. I graduated from Oakton High School in 2004. |
