After completing my BA in Honors Biochemistry at Harvard University, I am currently researching diabetes-associated inflammation at the Vanderbilt Medical Center while applying to medical school.
I went to Cincinnati Country Day School, where I was president of the Cum Laude Society, as well as captain of the varsity soccer team.
I have won state-wide competitions in both French and Spanish, and studied abroad in France and Spain.
I was captain of my Cincinnati United Premier soccer team for 2 years in high school, and made the Varsity Squash team while at Harvard.
I am an experienced teacher and tutor; I worked with English as a Second Language programs for nearly 8 years. The majority of this work was one-on-one tutoring.
I will prepare structured lessons, based on the individual student's needs. I will review homework assignments and tests to identify and improve upon difficult concepts. My goal is not only to help students understand the material, but help them learn better study habits as well.
I am well-qualified, knowledgeable, patient, and reliable. I strive to provide a structured though friendly and comfortable learning atmosphere. Everyone learns differently, and so I adapt my teaching style to best fit the individual student. I find that often a couple hours of one-on-one teaching can be more productive than ten in the classroom. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
