About
Brandt: |
|
I just graduated from Caltech with a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Business Economics, and now I'm going to pursue my PhD (at Princeton). In high school I taught elementary school students and throughout college I've tutored many students, including peers as a Dean's Tutor. I've been told I have a way of making complicated ideas simple and intuitive, while also being energetic and responsive. My strengths are certainly in math and science, but I have strong English skills as well. I'm easy to talk to and I always make a real effort to befriend whoever I tutor. I take my tutoring to heart and love seeing people I help improve, so you can expect my best effort. |

Brandt's Experience:
general computer
|
Over the years, I've come to be very proficient in common uses of computers.
I have used Windows 2000 and XP extensively, and all of its common applications like MS Office (word, excel, outlook, etc), web browsers/internet usage, games, and hardware.
I've also installed Windows and Linux before, partitioned hard drives, and similar tasks. I'm fairly familiar with Linux, having used it for my summer work last summer.
My experience with Mac is limited, but I am comfortable doing basic tasks.
In general, I fundamentally understand how computers work, and can quickly figure out a problem even if I haven't seen it before. If you want to know if I can help with a specific problem just ask and I'll let you know!
