Hello, I’m Katie. I am a junior at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. I am in the education program with a Spanish major and English minor. From that you can already tell that I have a passion for the spoken and written word. I have always loved language, but my enthusiasm sparked for Spanish is high school. Becoming a teacher myself allows me to move children just as my teachers inspired me. I have an extensive background in Spanish grammar, literature, culture, composition, and conversation. My English qualifications are equivalent, and even more so since I am a native speaker! My love for teaching/tutoring began in high school when even then I tutored after school. I have four years of tutoring under my belt, mainly in Spanish. I am a current K-12 certified education student, so any age is workable. My teaching style fluctuates per student, but I find that consistent practice is vital to any education. My entire life I have really been in love with learning. I could never get enough of school, which still stands true to this day. My main goal as an educator is to spread that excitement to as many students as I can reach.
