general music I began my musical training in the 4th grade where I was taught to play both the saxophone and piano. I found very quickly that I enjoyed the opportunities music presented me-- the chance to learn something new, to meet new people, to play a diverse array of pieces, etc. I have been fortunate enough to spend several years in concert, jazz, pep, and marching bands, and continue to play to this day. In fact, my continuing interest in music led me to pursue a minor in music during my undergraduate career at Ursinus College, where I was trained in music theory, history and performance. Best of all, music is truly something that anyone can enjoy, from the player to the composer to the listener.
