About
Ryan: |
|
So I am an undergraduate from Tufts University in Boston with a very open schedule to accompany your needs. My academic background is well rounded with a political science major and all fundamental sciences (chemistry, biology, physics) for a pre med kid. My current strengths are chemistry and biology since I took a slew of classes this last sophomore year. In addition, I am familiar with anatomy because I not only did a course in biology but also took a Emergency Medical Technician class that focuses on the human body. Being the well rounded kid, I also have extensive knowledge in two sports: baseball and tennis. Since I was 5, I was taking lessons, going to camps, and playing leagues in both. I continued these sports into high school where I played for my school's varsity baseball and ran tennis clinics on the side.
From past experiences working with kids, I have developed a flexible teaching style. Obviously communication is key but how to communicate is crucial. While some kids are more visual, others are more verbal or hands on. Instructors need to these factors into consideration and adjust their session accordingly. My hope is to serve you in the best way possible and I am open to feedback and fresh ideas from my clients |

My career in baseball spanned from T-Ball league to high school varsity. The positions I played were catcher, pitcher, infielder, and outfielder. Over that period of time, I learned the fundamental mechanics of baseball like pitching, hitting, throwing, catching. That learning did not just come from lessons or clinics but experience on the field. All these mechanics seem simple but the reality is that the average kid can always improve. People always develop bad habits from the start whether it is disinformation or bad coaching. In addition, strategy and approach is a major factor in baseball for offense and defense. Baseball is a mental game too and I can tell kids where to position themselves in the field or what to expect at the plate. In the end, my hope is to develop kids into well rounded ball players.
