I am a retired NYS certified teacher with over 20 years classroom experience teaching American History, World History, European History, Social Studies, Geography, Economics, Math, Algebra, Geometry, Earth Science, Biology, English, Language Arts, Health and Phys. Ed. I have also coached various sports including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, wrestling and golf and have been faculty advisor for a chess club, yoga, and outdoor adventure. I hold a Masters Degree of Science in Education and have been tutoring fulltime for the past several years. I very much enjoy working with students and helping make difficult subjects possible to learn. One thing I learned as a teacher is that each student's learning style is different. In a classroom of 30 students it is difficult to tailor your teaching to optimize each students learning potential. One of the advantages of tutoring is the opportunity to customize your teaching to the student. This is what I do as a tutor. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with you.

  I am an avid golfer who has coached golf for a number of years at my Middle School. I have taken coursework in CPR, First Aid and NYS Coaching certification.

  I have many years experience coaching baseball on the Middle School, Jr.High School and High School level. I have taken coursework in First Aid certification, CPR and NYS Coaching certification.

• chess

  I was the faculty advisor for my school Chess Club and have made a study of the game for many years.

• poker

  I have been playing poker (Texas Hold 'Em, Draw, 7 Card Stud, etc.) regularly for over 20 years and I have also taught a course in mathematical odds.

• GED

  I am a certified teacher with over 20 years classroom experience teaching and I have taught all major academic subjects, including American History, World History, European History, Math, Algebra, Geometry, Earth Science, Biology, English, Language Arts, Literature, Reading and Health. I have successfully tutored many students for their GED over the years and would be happy to do so with you as well.
