Life is a series of lessons learned. It can seem a daunting task to absorb these lessons on our own. This is why I am offering my services to you. I'm here to help you realize your educational and personal objectives.
I have recently graduated from the university of Denver with a MA in Global Finance and International Development. Previously, I obtained a BA from the University of Memphis in International Relations and French. Besides my above mentioned interests, I have a deep appreciation of History, ESL, TOEFL, writing, reading and language, among my many other interests.
I am now working as an ESL teacher, while private tutoring both business English and TOEFL. I look forward to working with new students in an atmosphere of learning while at the same time having fun. I am currently an ESL instructor at the Colorado School of English, in Denver CO. I have been teaching at this institution for almost two years now. I have taught advanced writing/reading, speaking /listening and grammar. In addition, I have taught both intermediate and beginning ESL in all subjects mentioned above. Additionally, I provide private tutoring, through the school, in both business English and accent reduction.
Before acquiring my present employment, I was an ESL instructor in Thailand for two years, teaching K-12. I have a strong background in ESL and hope to continue to pursue this instruction through my work with WyzAnt.

GED

Before acquiring my present employment as an ESL instructor, I was a case manager attached to the Catholic Charities Refugee Services in Memphis TN for two years. While my primary responsibility was the resettlement of refugees from all over the world, I took a personal initiative of organizing and then realizing a GED program for those refugees wanting to get their GED certificate and then to go on an attend University. The program was aided by refugee services and with the the help of local churches and volunteer teachers, of which I was one the instructors. Because of my past commitment to education, I have a strong background in GED instruction and hope to continue to pursue this through my work with WyzAnt.

I have recently been teaching TOEFL courses at night and on the weekends. Additionally, I provide private tutoring, through the school and privately at my home, in TOEFL instruction.
