About Chris:

I've been teaching in the math department at Chelsea High School for 14 years. I've spent the last 4 teaching AP Calculus and AP Statistics, but I've had extensive experience teaching all levels of algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. Most of my students enjoy my "laid back" teaching style. I emphasize concepts, logic, and thinking through problems over memorization. I also prefer to work with applications of problems so students can see where the math can be used in day-to-day situations. I graduated in 1993 from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Statistics and Mathematics. It took me one more year to earn my teacher's certificate and I've been teaching at Chelsea High School since 1994. It's been a terrific place to work. I've also been the varsity women's soccer coach and a JV football coach for all of my 14 years at CHS. If you need some serious math help, I'm your guy! Looking forward to hearing from you... I request the opportunity to tutor students in the area of statistics. I've been teaching an AP Statistics course at Chelsea High School for the past 4 years and over 95% of my students have passed the AP exam. I was a statistics major at the University of Michigan, and I'm currently certified by this site to teach all other areas of high school mathematics as well.
