About Cynthia:

I am currently a graduate student at Baylor College of Medicine, where I am working on my degree in Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine. Prior to that, I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2006 with a BS in Biology and advanced training in Spanish language. I enjoy working with children and have had the opportunity to do so through several YMCA after-school programs and summer camps in which I have been a mentor and a tutor. I have been able to help children with homework, projects and other school activities. A few years ago I was the assistant director for Camp Fun-ergy in Montgomery County MD where I worked with many campers and educated them about healthy eating as well as enjoyed many fun activities. My tutoring style is structured but relaxed and fun. I like to help the student learn at their own pace and provide the support for them to be successful in whatever area they are working in. I like to emphasize that it is much more important how one arrives at the answer than the answer itself. I look forward to working with you!
