About Alex:

I have taught Spanish and French for over twenty years from Middle School through the Master's Degree in college. I am a native speaker of Spanish with Ph.D. all but dissertation work and an M.A. in French with expert fluency. I, myself, have undergone intensive Total Immersion coursework in my Master's to attain professional fluency. I have worked as a tutor and freelance translator of Spanish and French for over fifteen years. I have tutored both the corporate level student as well as the sixth grader in middle school. With this student, for example, we are reading and discussing in French and English Le Petit Prince by Antoine de St. Exupery. I am enjoying the progress my student is making in great strides to the amazement of her mother and her regular teacher. I teach at the level of the student helping the student to progress rapidly into as high a level desired via the use of the language or the native language of the student or both.
