About Jesse:

Students, I'm a Berklee educated singer/songwriter, living here in Nashville. I've won many awards for my songwriting, including grand prizes in The John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the NSAI/CMT songwriting contest. I signed a publishing deal in 2004 as a full time staff-songwriter and I still hold that position. I've had tons of experience co-writing, performing in the studio and performing on stage. I'm also a regular at the Bluebird Cafe here in Nashville. I'd love to help some young writers and songwriters hone their craft. I was very lucky to have great teachers and it really sped up my development as an artist. I could instruct you in voice (I had 6 years of formal training), acoustic guitar and songwriting. Songwriting is a very broad term that includes instruction in lyric writing and an overview in basic music theory (which I feel is crucial to being a great writer).
