 About Bryan:
As a trained educator I posses the knowledge to help you learn subject matter using several different study methods. A person cannot learn simply just by listening to a lecture or reading a book. There is far more efficient and fun ways of learning than sitting in a class for hours at a time or at your desk reading. Let me help you explore the human potential. I have extensive education and training in music, physical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, and biology, as well as massage and manual therapy skills. As a body worker I also have extensive physical training knowledge and have enjoyed an extracurricular life in baseball, martial arts, and weightlifting. I look forward to helping you achieve your dreams.

Learn More About Bryan's Experience:
anatomy
Currently I teach Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology at Everest Institute where I am an Adjunct Professor. I was first introduced to A & P as a massage therapy student. While I first showed particular deficiencies in A & P, I was able to reorganize my style of learning and turned a failing grade into an "A". Now as a teacher I have a certain level of compassion for my students who find A & P a difficult subject to learn.
GED
While my high school grades, SAT, and ACT scores were more than adequate, it is my education as an educator that makes me most able to help students prepare for the GED. It is my experience that those students who are wishing to get their GED is because they are wanting more out of life. A trait that helps ensure a willingness to try any means to learn and retain the necessary information to pass the GED. This hunger for more is a major driving force in my life, therefore I am empathetic to those students who are "hungry".
general music
I studied Secondary Music Education in College. My knowledge of music ranges from the basic to advanced levels. I do not know exactly what "general music" would entail, but as a music major in college, I can guarantee this to be a subject area where I would excel.
music theory
One of my favorite subjects that I took as an undergrad was Music Theory. I studied under a very prestigious music professor, composer, and percussionist: Dr. Daniel Buckvich. The approach he took to music theory was simple, easy, and very easily retaught to anyone with the willingness to learn music theory. I bring this knowledge, experience, and study material to my music theory students.
physical science
Currently I am an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Kinesiology at Everest Institute. As an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist I am passionate about how healing and physical science are united. As a health care practitioner and health care professor I am constantly working in the physical sciences.
physiology
Currently I teach Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology at Everest Institute where I am an Adjunct Professor. I was first introduced to A & P as a massage therapy student. While I first showed particular deficiencies in A & P, I was able to reorganize my style of learning and turned a failing grade into an "A". Now as a teacher I have a certain level of compassion for my students who find A & P a difficult subject to learn.
sight singing
Another subject I had the privilege and pleasure to study with Dr. Daniel Buckvich was Aural Skills (or sight singing and ear training). As a music education major it was absolutely imperative that we have an "ear" for music. I truly enjoyed this class and to this day I can still remember the class routines, exams, and rehearsal techniques, many of which I use still to this day.
study skills
My music education training in college included several classes on alternative learning styles and study skills. As an educator and student I found these skills invaluable in my professional and personal life. It is vitally important to know as a teacher how to convey your message of education to students of all learning types. Be it: aurally, visually, kinetically, through lecture, reading, listening to taped lecture, flash cards, one-to-one tutoring, or building projects, etc. Everyone can learn, it is just a matter of find out how best someone does.
trumpet
The trumpet was my primary instrument of study as a secondary music education major. I have played the trumpet since 1989. While my repertoire includes classical, baroque, neoclassical, symphonic band, and solo etudes, my love is found primarily in jazz, field/show music (marching/pep bands), and funk/rock/ska/blues.
