elementary (k-6th) I have subsitute teaching experience in K-8 grade levels. I have direct experience teaching reading and writing using a variety of methods. I am also strong in teaching math and using games as a way to deepen learning and engaging students. Integrating subjects such as reading and writing or math and writing is an efficient method for teaching young students. GED Before I was a teacher, I worked at Head Start helping families and children. I assisted parents with obtaining their GED. I am familiar with the GED exams, costs and some of the test questions. I am confident I can assist with all of the content areas of the GED exam. I am patient and experienced at working with adults from all backgrounds and abilities. phonics As a kindergarten teacher, I understand the importance of phonics instruction as the basis for learning how to read. I can make phonics instruction fun and meaningful for young students. It is important to provide hands on instruction for beginning readers and opportunities to make words using manipulatives if possible. I have knowledge of internet resources that can help emergent readers.
