Hello! I have three years experience working with children with special needs. I also have three additional years experience working as a teacher in a second grade classroom. There I am responsible for planning, teaching, and modifying the curriculum to meet the individual needs of all students. I specialize in reading and writing, as I received my MA in that area. However, I have recently taken post-graduate courses in mathematics instruction and have many new and effective techniques for teaching this subject area. Every child learns differently and at a different pace. I am experienced with meeting the needs of the individual child.
I enjoy teaching. More specifically, I enjoy assisting a student in feeling successful with a difficult subject area.
