 About Corey:
Greetings and salutations! My name is Corey, and I am an experienced mathematics specialist on the market. I am here to share with you my knowledge and experience, to provide top-quality instruction, and to help in the best way possible with whatever ails you! My qualifications include thirteen years' experience as a teaching assistant and a substitute instructor at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas (where I am still employed) and ten years' experience as a private instructor. Furthermore, I am one semester shy of my Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics. Additional background academic information is as follows:* I am currently a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.* I was inducted into the Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and Universities honors organization.* I participated in a summer program at the University of Texas in Austin for minority students in applied mathematics and engineering.* I received credit for three semesters of Spanish via the College Level Examination Program.* I received straight A's in all of my mathematics courses (pre-calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, statistics, two semesters of business calculus, and four semesters of engineering calculus). Furthermore, I have a 4.0 overall G.P.A. I have the ability to provide students with the most professional instruction possible and to communicate classroom material effectively and efficiently. This, in turn, helps students become creative and independent thinkers and to succeed in their courses and careers. I have been frequently complimented on my organizational and communication skills and my level of patience in working with students. Through my methodical, step-by-step explanations, detailed examples, and study aids, students comprehend mathematics more effectively. Additionally, my calm and professional demeanor and caring personality instill in students greater peace of mind and a can-do attitude. This, in turn, leads to higher retention, increased self-esteem, improved grades, and a desire to challenge higher-division math courses. I feel that I can provide students with the best possible instruction and thus meet their needs. Moreover, I feel I can provide students with the necessary tools and confidence to help them succeed in their math courses. Students can apply those skills to other areas of study and their lives. Give me a try; allow my experience to work for you. You will be glad that you did!

Learn More About Corey's Experience:
differential equations
I took a differential equations course in Summer 1996 at Austin Community College with Professor Dennis Collier and earned an A. Over the past ten years, I have taught several students in this subject (not only in this course but also in courses such as the first and the second semesters of business calculus). Moreover, I have private instructed several students in these topics (all of which earned either A's or B's).
statistics
I took an on-line statistics course in Fall 2006 at the Cedar Valley College of the Dallas County Community College District with Professor Mikal McDowell. Furthermore, I finished the course with a 99.6 average. Since, and even before, then, I taught a considerable amount of the subject material (not only in this course but also in courses such as Mathematics for Business and Economics and Business Calculus II); I even received some training in the MINITAB software that statistics students sometimes use. I private taught a statistics student this past semester, and the student earned a B. From these perspectives, I have considerable experience with the course material.
