I cannot remember a time in school in which I was failing or truly worried about my grades. I have always carried A's and B's, from elementary school to high school and then throughout college. I have experience tutoring college students in Spanish, a language I began learning almost 10 years ago. I am fully fluent in Spanish and studied abroad in Mexico. I can also tutor in a variety of other subjects, and do exceptionally well with grammar and literature. I like to work with my students, as each person learns differently and different approaches may or may not work with certain people. It is important to understand the style of learning each student excels in, and to use that individual style to get the material across. I like to go over basic study skills with all my students, because, as a tutor, I can only do so much. Students must be willing to work hard and change their practices (if necessary) if they want to excel educationally.
I'm very understanding and sensitive; I never want a student to feel stupid or uncomfortable. I'm really open-minded, so please give me a chance and I'm sure I can help you! :) |
