My education and experience makes me a solid candidate to tutor individuals who wish to improve their achievement in a variety of areas. I teach middle and high school social studies, including American History, World History, Sociology, Psychology, Government, and Economics. I also teach classes on study skills, test preparation, and academic motivation. Additionally, I teach credit recovery courses in math, science, and health. I have deep experience in teaching ACT preparation courses in a one-to-one setting. All of my current and previous experience has focused on individualized, one-to-one learning, so I have a strong ability to make connections in a tutor-student relationship. I have several years experience with students coming from ethnically, racially, academically, and economically diverse backgrounds, so I am able to work with each student's individual needs and strengths. Finally, I have a strong background in acting and coaching speech as extracurricular and academic activities. |
