About Rachel:

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in English. When I was a student at the university, I worked part-time tutoring elementary students in both math and reading. I also found myself spending quite a bit of time editing and proof-reading term papers for friends. After college, I was employed with a small publishing house as a copy editor. I worked one-on-one with authors, editing their manuscripts for content, grammar and punctuation. My husband and I moved to Tucson in fall 2006, and I began tutoring Chinese students at the U of A in English. We focused on American culture and conversation. I love tutoring! My style is warm and encouraging and I take great pleasure in seeing my students succeed.
